HTML Viewer — Render & Preview HTML Files Online, Free
Open an .html file and see it rendered as an actual page — layout, styles, and images — with a toggle to view the raw, syntax-highlighted source.
1. Choose or drop a file
2. View instantly
3. Download when done
What this viewer does
- Rendered view: see the page as laid out, with CSS and images
- Source view with syntax highlighting for the raw markup
- Embedded scripts are disabled for safety — this is a viewer, not a script runner
- One-click toggle between rendered and source
- Download the original file back at any time
How it's rendered
Sandboxed iframe + Shiki. Renders the HTML inside a sandboxed frame with embedded scripts disabled, entirely on-device; the Source view reuses the Code viewer's Shiki-based highlighting.
Nothing about this file is ever sent to a server — open your browser's DevTools Network tab while using this viewer and you'll see no request carrying your file's contents.
100% Private
Files never leave your device. There is no server that ever receives your file's contents.
No Uploads
Every format is decoded and rendered locally via WebAssembly or JavaScript. Open your browser's Network tab and confirm nothing is sent.
No Storage
Nothing is written to a server or database. Memory clears the moment you close or reload the tab.
GDPR-friendly by design
There's no file data collection to comply with in the first place — no account, no tracking of file contents, no analytics on what you view.
HTML viewer — FAQ
Will embedded JavaScript run?
No — scripts are disabled in the rendered view for safety. This is a viewer, not a sandboxed app runner.
Will external images or stylesheets load?
If the HTML file references external URLs (an <img> pointing to a website, for example), your browser will fetch those directly when rendering, the same as opening the file locally. The file itself is never uploaded anywhere — only resources it explicitly links to may load from their original source.
Can I see the raw HTML source?
Yes, switch to the Source view for syntax-highlighted markup.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No, it's rendered entirely in your browser.
Can I edit the HTML here?
This is a viewer, not an editor. For editing, use your usual code editor.
